Hi,

I'm passionate about what I do.  For me photography means to look at the world on more than one level.  It helps me feel more connected with the world outside and encourages me to contemplate and explore what is there.

I've been freelancing now for a couple of years.  I'm particularly interested in portraiture, landscapes and still life photography.

Assignments so far have included working as a set photographer for the production company Blunt Stuff which consisted of taking behind-the-scenes portraits and action stills for music promos.  I've also been working on the music scene, mainly  for 'Club Integral', photographing live gigs.  My images have appeared on CD covers, fliers and websites. My portraiture assignments include portraits for corporate web and trade fair presentations as well as portraits of bands, musicians and actors.

I find people, their beliefs and life choices fascinating and unique and enjoy finding out about these. I'm always very thankful when people allow me to capture them and I'll try my best to make people feel at ease in order to portray them off-guard, looking natural and their best.

Originally I started out as a contributor for the stock Library Alamy and I've had work featured in newspapers and magazines worldwide as well as on book covers.

For the near future I have plans to try and branch out into video.

London has been my home for most of my life but I was born and raised in Germany.  I'm self-taught.  I have a BA (Hons) degree in TEFL with psychology and politics.  I speak both German and English fluently.

Over the years I've had various solo exhibitions and have also participated in group exhibitions. My work has sold in small galleries in London and online galleries. I've been shortlisted a number of times and also have reached the final of prestigious competitions. In 2011 I became one of the founders of "Art at the Trattoria" (a monthly venue in Hackney, hosting art exhibitions) and curated shows there until September 2012.

For more information on my work or to get in touch regarding employment opportunities/ assignments, or just to say hello, feel free to e-mail or call me on: +447852254549,  k12atja.heber@hotmail.com.  I'm willing to travel almost anywhere.
